AA larger smallerSOPHIA VICTORIA MUTTER April 22, 1922 March 13, 2012 On Tuesday, March 13, 2012 Vicki passed away at Oakview Place Personal Care Home in Winnipeg at the age of 89 years. Vicki was predeceased by her parents Hilway (nee Haddad) and Solomon Mutter; sisters Ethel and Nellie; brothers Eddy and Charles, and nephew Donald Murray. Left to cherish Vicki's memory are nieces Pat Rogers (children Stephanie and Matthew), Judy Wilson (children Scott,[url=http://www.sport.fr/sponsoring/uggpascher.html]bottes ugg femmes[/url], Trevor and Jason), and by Donald's wife, Ella (his children Suzanne and Jeff). In 1941 with a diploma in accounting and business administration, Vicki began 36 years of employment with the Government of Canada, serving in various departments in Winnipeg, Montreal and Ottawa. From 1961 to 1975 she served with the Trade Commissioner Service of the Department of Trade and Commerce and the Department of External Affairs Diplomatic Corp in Accra, Ghana; New Delhi, India; Hong Kong; Paris, France; and London, England. She retired in Ottawa in 1977 as a Foreign Service Officer. Vicki had a great zest for life and adventure and enjoyed traveling and meeting people. After she retired she confided she did not like flying . Her beloved mode of transportation used to visit family and friends became the Greyhound bus. Vicki had a wonderful sense of humour, and was not afraid to laugh at herself. She was devoted and generous to her family and especially loved to share her convictions and beliefs. She generously supported charities throughout the world. When Vicki's health failed her cousin Gordon Mutter brought her to Winnipeg in 2010. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Oakview Place for their compassionate care. In accordance with Vicki's wishes a private Graveside Interment has taken place in Elmwood Cemetery, 88 Hespeler Avenue, Winnipeg.
